First Year Grad Student Sign Up
Are you a first year grad student who would like an older grad student to answer your questions and show you the ropes of grad school? Join our buddies program!

Please fill out this form so we can learn more about you and find a good match! We will be providing you with information on the returning grad students, so you can indicate your preferred buddy! Before we assign buddies, we will host a meet-up for everyone interested in the buddy program so that you all can meet the potential buddies.

Participants can choose to meet up virtually or in-person, and we encourage you all to meet at least once a month. We'll also be hosting fun events for all our buddies throughout the semester. More details will be sent once you have signed up.

To sign up as a first year grad student, this must be your first year as a graduate student at Berkeley. You should also have interest in being a part of Graduate Women in Engineering (GWE). All identities are welcome in GWE!

These are interactive lecture style workshops that we plan to have 3x a semester this year. We hope to cover topics that aren't covered in orientation but will help you become a successful grad student during your time at Cal.
