Two Week Blocks will be allocated to Artists [Artists can apply for longer]
The Residency will be in line with Government restrictions. {most likely will only be available during Level 3}
Dates of each residency will be up to the directors of the gallery and artist to confirm.
The Artist may have access to one or both Galleries - depending on schedule & availability [ we may match one artist in Gallery 1 and another in Gallery 2 - depending on their want/use.]
The Artist will sign up as a MART Studio Member and comply with all our normal membership requirements, there will be no fee involved.
There will be no public showcase, no exhibition within the galleries for this residency - ie the galleries will be closed during this residency. However artists may wish to create something and present it through our windows or off site.
Artists will have access to MART equipment supplies.
During covid-19 Level 3 we have small visitor numbers in our buildings, therefore during this opportunity we ask artists to have limited visitors. - We ideally want artists to come and make/build/document work, themselves.
Galleries / Organisations may also apply on behalf of an Artist.
Groups / Collectives / Pairs who are already in a ‘pod’ are open to apply.
Artists will be required to restore the gallery's condition after use.
There is no funding available for this residency, artists are responsible for their own costs involved in attending the residency and use of the gallery space.
Further details will be provided for the successful applicants.
First Deadline for Applications : October 31st.
