Thank you for considering becoming a mentor with SPARK! As a mentor, you will play a vital role in empowering others with the knowledge, guidance, and support needed to thrive in today's society. SPARK aims to create meaningful mentorship connections that inspire and assist mentees in their journey toward success.
Mentor Responsibilities:
1. Time Commitment: Weekly (virtual or in-person) check-in with your mentee once a week from July 10 - August 12.
*Checkins must between 15-30 minutes and based on the availability of the mentor and mentee.
In-person Sessions
Meet your Mentee - Tuesday, July 18 5 - 6 pm
Closing Ceremony - Sunday, August 13 at 3 - 5 pm
2. Guidance and Support: Provide guidance and support to your mentee by sharing your industry knowledge, offering advice, and helping them set and achieve career goals.
3. Skill Development: Assist mentees in developing essential career skills such as communication, networking, problem-solving, leadership, and more through coaching, feedback, and providing relevant resources.
4. Networking Opportunities: Help mentees expand their professional networks by facilitating introductions, sharing contacts, and encouraging participation in relevant events and communities.
5. Motivation and Encouragement: Provide motivation, encouragement, and constructive feedback to help mentees overcome obstacles, build confidence, and maintain a positive mindset.
Eligibility Criteria:
- 18 +
- Passionate about helping others succeed and committed to giving back.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Availability and willingness to commit to regular engagement with your mentee
