Retina 2022 Call for Abstracts  form
RETINA is an annual event organised by Fighting Blindness Ireland, bringing together top researchers and ophthalmologists to showcase the latest advances in therapeutic intervention, eyecare practices and research discovery.

After two years of successfully hosting the conference virtually, we will be back to an in-person event once again. Our Retina 2022 conference is taking place this year on November 3-5 at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel Dublin City.

On Friday, November 4, 2022, the Scientific Programme of Retina 2022 is taking place and we have been accepting abstracts to be considered for poster display and/or poster sizzlers as well as short talk presentations (more information on each of these below). Many thanks to everyone who has submitted their abstract so far. We have been highly impressed with the standard of submissions to date. We are still accepting submissions and have made the decision to extend the deadline by one week to Friday, September 09, 2022.

  • Poster- online PDF of poster uploaded to the Retina 2022 website and viewable by all attendees both in person the day of the event and online on the website
  • Poster sizzlers- approx. 1-1.5-minute audio recording to accompany poster on the website. Please note if not selected for a sizzler you will still be considered for a poster.
  • Short talk presentations- approx. 10-minute oral presentations on the day. Please note if not selected for a talk you will still be considered for a poster
