Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 2022 Chicago Labor Day Parade. We are in search of dedicated volunteers to help make our event a safe and prosperous success! Here are a few details to consider:

-The Chicago Labor Day Parade will take place Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 12 p.m.
-Volunteers must be 15 years or older, be in good health, and be able to be outdoors on parade day for an extended period of time.
-Check- In time for volunteers may vary depending on the role (9am- 1:30pm).
-The parade is a 'rain or shine' event, please dress comfortably and for the weather

Volunteer opportunities include:

Check-In Table: Check in parade units, volunteers, and direct them to their staging locations. Distribute volunteer T-shirts

Staging /Unit Liaison: Direct parade units to their staging locations. Track, monitor, direct, and usher participants to their designated location and maintain correct marching order.

Block Marshal: Block Marshalls are stationed along the parade route and maintain speed, spacing of units, as they march up Ewing Avenue. For the safety of everyone, parade marshals will help maintain the curbline, preventing spectators from moving into the street.

Dispand: Dispand parade units to their appropriate area. Prevent pile ups and maintain traffic flow.
