Call for Proposals

The Annual Conference Planning Committee would like to invite leadership and staff from affiliates and the public to submit proposals to present during the 2025 Annual Conference.  The UCP Annual Conference audience is made up of affiliate leadership and staff from the Affiliate Network, totaling approximately 100 individuals present and breakout sessions ranging from 10-25 individuals per session.  The conference is not open to the public.

Description of topics: 

Workforce & Organizational Development  - These sessions will aim to address topics related to the workforce crisis, such as recruiting, hiring, and retention. Additionally, topics that promote a positive workplace culture such as team building and process improvement.  

Leadership Strategies – These topics aim to enhance leadership skills of current leaders and emerging leaders.  Topics may include identifying and nurturing future leadership, change management, trust building, and strategic planning.  

Fundraising & Development Strategies – These sessions will focus on topics that support the organizations fundraising goals, sustainability and increase diverse revenue streams.  Potential topics include major gift prospecting, development of a fundraising plan, email and direct mail appeals, events, face to face asking. 

Program Development – These sessions will focus on the development of programs within an organization.  Examples of session topics include an affiliate sharing a program that they have implemented or improved and the outcomes experienced.  

Motivational/Inspirational - These presentations speak to the work done by UCP and its' affiliate network.  The presenter must be familiar with the topics impacting the disability community or the organizations that serve the disability community.
