This year the 8th grade students will have a variety of electives to choose from.  They are required to take math, science, reading and social studies as well as keyboarding/keycode.  They are also required to take a PE, Health and at least one fine arts course, which will be included all together into one period we call the "wheel" classes where they will change each nine weeks.
Students will also get to choose two more class periods with their choices of electives.   Some electives are for an entire year and some are only one semester.

*Film Study - Mrs. Corbett
   - Like movies? Join this film class to learn about cinema and its relation to culture, history, and technology by watching a variety of movies.

*Yoga/Mindfulness - Ms. Wygal
   -This class is a fun way to teach students to calm their bodies and focus their thoughts through breathing,
    mindful movement and relaxation.

*Military Science - Mr. Bernard
  -This is a FUN class that allows students to learn about the history and structure of the military and teaches
    student about self-discipline, accountability, having  higher personal expectations for themselves and
    teamwork and tactics!

*Esports/Game Coding - Carmen Quain
   -Students will participate in a form of competition using video games as well as learn about how games are
    created.



Please use the form below to selective your electives.  Remember that these electives cover TWO periods.  We have TWO semesters in a year.  For an example, if you choose none of the full-year electives, then you will have to choose 4 one-semester courses.  You may choose only two full-year electives or one full-year elective and two semester electives.  It is all up to YOU, as long as you fill TWO periods.
