Overview of Training Guidelines:
-Trainings must be requested at least 4 weeks before the desired training date.
-We are offering in-person and virtual trainings, but will be keeping an eye on COVID numbers/data and reserve the right to reschedule an in-person training to virtual if an uptick in cases should occur around the time of the scheduled training.
- Our prices vary according to a number of factors. Please complete this form to help us form a a better picture of your organization and request. When we reach out we will provide a quote.

Overview of Trainings Offered:
LGBTQ+ 101:
*Goes through the entire LGBTQQIA acronym and breaks the terms and definitions downs
*There is focus on gender identity, expression and presentation as well as trans and nonbinary identities
*Discusses pronouns and how to incorporate them/ask about them
Trans 101:
*A much deeper break down of trans and nonbinary gender
*Discussion on gender roles and constructs
*The gender binary
*What cisgender means
*How gender roles and expectations affect everyone and then how the binary/cisheteronormative dominance affects trans and nonbinary people in particular
*Pronouns and their importance
*How to make environments trans-inclusive and affirming; how people can do this as individuals, in their work life and how organizations can create a safe, affirming, inclusive space and culture.
Bystander Intervention Training:
Bystander intervention is built on the idea that we all play a role in creating safe public spaces for each other when we see our neighbors and community members facing bias, discrimination, or harassment. YPI can help you learn some of these important skills so we can better respond to these incidents and build a safer community for all. These trainings are prerequisites for any further in depth training such as LGBTQ 102 or more specific topics.

FAQs:
-What are your prices?
Prices vary depending on a number of factors, but start around $1k for a base training.
-What if I can't pay for the training? My organization does not have it in the budget for training.
If your nonprofit has a skills workshop or services to trade that YPI staff need, we will gladly present training in exchange for one of yours being presented to our staff.
Your organization can hold a fundraiser (in-person or virtual) to raise the funds to meet the facilitator fee or your organization can host a basic needs or gift card drive for our pantry before scheduling your workshop. Feel free to connect with us for some helpful tips. YPI is happy to include this fundraiser or drive with our networks. Fundraised monies and drive goods must be provided at the time of booking, the same as we would ask another organization to provide payment when booking.
-What if I am looking for a different sort of training for my staff/students/community group?
We can certainly customize a training to something beyond our foundation trainings (LGBTQ+ 101 and Trans 101). We strongly suggest taking one of our foundational trainings before asking for more custom ones; this ensures everyone involved starts with the same basics under their belt. For more personalized training, please allow a minimum of six weeks to have your training custom made.
