DisOrient Asian American Film Festival is a grass-roots, community-centered festival that explores the rich spectrum of Asian and Pacific Islander American voices, faces, creativity and experiences. Our volunteer-run festival highlights little known stories of an extraordinary people.
As a volunteer, you get to meet actors, screenwriters, and filmmakers, as well as sponsors, collaborators, and other volunteers who support the festival. You may meet people who will become life-long friends.
Volunteers are invited to the catered Opening Night Reception and the Closing Night Awards Event. Your name will be on a master list for access to the events. As volunteers, you are also welcome to snacks and beverages provided in the weekend Green Room on your volunteer days (hours of Green Room TBA). During times that you are not scheduled to work, you can watch films with free admission if there are seats available after general seating. Availability of seats for volunteers may be limited and not guaranteed.
