Dear rising 6th Grade Parents,

Hixson Middle School offers opportunities for incoming students, parents, and guardians to visit Hixson prior to the school year to learn about our building, its procedures, and policies. The first of these events for students is Sixth Grade Orientation which will be held on Tuesday, August 9th (more details to come later). In addition, parents and students will be able to attend Hixson Middle School's Open House which will occur in the evening on Wednesday August 17th (more details to come later).

We aim to make these events as informative as possible without being too overwhelming for students and parents. In order to accomplish this, we are constantly reflecting on how this time is used and what information is shared. In addition to our own reflections, we would like your feedback as well. What do you and your student want to know BEFORE the first day of school/during these transition events?
