Boat Training Request Form
Thank you for expressing interest in UC Santa Barbara powerboat (motor boat) or paddlecraft (SUPs, kayaks, canoes, etc.) training!
This training is geared towards students and staff who are currently associated with a lab that operates scientific powerboats or
paddlecraft
.
Training is provided at no cost.
Priority will be given to grad students, staff, and students whose lab would like them to get an operator checkout over the next year. Please have your lab supervisor/ PI reach out to me if they'd like you to be on the priority list: carlyhaack@ucsb.edu . For all others, I will reach out to you as spaces are available. :)
Prior to on-water powerboat training, please complete a
California Boating Safety Education course
.
For additional questions, please send me an email: carlyh
