Our adoption policy: We will base our decision on what home would be best for *each individual animal.* As a reminder, we do not hold animals. We adopt on a first approved applicant basis. We ask that you respond to us in a timely manner. If we do not hear back from you after five days, we will move onto the next application. If you adopt from us, you are agreeing to contact us first if you ever choose to rehome. We reserve the right to deny any application should we believe the applicant is not a good fit for the animal.

Privacy policy: We will respect your privacy and maintain your confidentiality. All information given is only used as part of our adoption program and is shareable among our board of directors and rescue partners.

With any animal guardianship, the guardian must be educated on their care. We understand that everyone was once a “first time guardian” and we all have to start somewhere. But please be sure you are prepared and committed to caring for the life of another living being. 

If you are unsure of an answer or what your plans are yet, and are just starting this process, let us know.

This is a separate program than the animals in our rescue. They will have "H2H" next to their name on Petfinder.

Are you willing to work through your new companion's behaviors/quirks, if any? *
These animals are rescues. Most have been abused, neglected, abandoned, unwanted. Like all sentient beings, they have their own feelings and ways of dealing with their trauma/past. All these animals are also prey animals and will act naturally in ways to defend themselves.

Please include the dimensions (L x W x H) and the brand name or if it is a DIY. All enclosures must have adequate ventilation as well as a secure lid.

Enclosure Photo Submission *
Once we review your application, we will follow up via email for photos of your enclosure. Please keep in mind that photo submissions of your enclosure must be approved prior to adoption approval. Do not email us until we request the photos.

We suggest calling the vet clinic beforehand to ensure they are exotic-savvy and taking new clients, if you are not already established with them. For vet recommendations click here.

All correspondence will be done via email only. Please allow 1-3 business days for us to respond to your application. Due to the varying busyness of this work, some days are busier than others. If you do not hear back from us after 3 days, please email us. After we respond to your application, we have a time frame of 5 days to receive photo submissions and follow up before we move on from your application.
