Northern Granville Middle School is a Title I school, and as the parent, guardian of a child attending a Title I school you are an important part of the Title I team. Your input is vital in the planning and implementation of the parent engagement program and student academic programs in our school.

The focus of Title I programs is to help ensure that all children meet the challenging state academic standards expected of all children, regardless of their socioeconomic status and background.

Being a Title I, Part A school means receiving federal funding (Title I, Part A dollars) to supplement the school’s existing programs. These dollars can be used for identifying students experiencing academic difficulties and providing timely assistance to help these students meet the State’s challenging content standards; purchasing supplemental staff, programs, materials, and supplies; conducting parent and family engagement meetings, trainings, and activities. What are your suggestions for how NGMS could spend Title I funds next school year? *
