Please Note:
Reporting on how we helpOne of the core philosophies of The Child Foundation is to ensure our supporters are aware of how we use the funds raised. To accomplish this philosophy, we like to video interview the parents of the child and where appropriate the child is filmed. We will always request to do this type of filming, as we believe that our charity will receive more support if we report and are fully transparent how money is being used to benefit children and their families. We do respect the privacy of those families who do not wish to be filmed and refusal to take part in filming does not impact the success of an application for our support. Where we do gain permission for filming, we ask the parents of the child to sign a simple agreement that means we can use the recorded footage in a manner that best supports our charity.
Updating you on our grant rules
The Child Foundation promises to consider every application for support. In some instances, a key part of our service is to raise funds for the specific causes and we do this as and when we are made aware of them. We do not donate cash amounts to causes. Our preference is to buy or pay for the item we have granted support for directly. As an example, if we granted a family a UK Holiday Break, we would pay for that holiday directly with the supplier. We do our very best to offer support whenever we can but cannot guarantee to support all requests for help.
