2024 PASCO COUNTY ELECTION WORKER SURVEY
REQUIREMENTS TO BE A PASCO COUNTY ELECTION WORKER
Pursuant to 102.012, Florida Statutes, Election Workers must be able to read and write English and be a qualified elector in the county appointing them to work the polls. Additionally, Election Workers must attend training prior to each Primary and General Election. Minimum training requirements, including the length of courses and criteria covered during the training, are also set by statute and the Division of Elections.
All Election Workers are expected to arrive at the polls by 6:00 a.m. and remain at the polls until the polls have closed and ALL closing tasks by each Election Workers have been completed (approximately 14 hours). All Election Workers are to have a working knowledge of the laws and procedures relating to voter registration, voting system equipment, balloting and polling place procedures, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
