What is the Teen Advisory Board?

The Teen Advisory Board, or TAB, is a group of teens that works with the Teen Services Librarian, Katie Nelson, to help the library develop resources, services & events to fulfill teens' needs & interests and to promote the library to teens & the community. Teens will learn how to serve on a board, provide feedback, and work as a group. In other words, here’s what we do:

Plan programs for teens
Help choose books, audio books, movies, and music for the teen section
Promote the Library as a great place for teens
Strive to make the Library effective and appealing for teens
Volunteer time on an on-call basis for special projects and events

All teens, ages 12 to 18, are eligible to apply. Members are selected by an application process. Candidates for this leadership opportunity must have a desire to help their community and a love of the Library.
