8. Supervision Policy: Academics PreKindergarten is responsible for providing care and supervision to students upon drop-off to the program and until they are picked up by parent/guardian within the operational hours.

9. First Aid /Medication Policy: First Aid will be administered by Academics PreKindergarten staff if deemed necessary and will be informed to the families. Any medications including over the counter medicines will not be administered unless a written permission from the physician and the necessary forms including Administration of Medicine Form have been completed and submitted to the school.

10. Student Release Policy: Children will only be released to parent/guardian or those listed as authorized for pick-up in this registration form. The person(s) responsible for pick-up or drop-off must present identification to the staff. Any alternative pick up or drop off must be notified in writing, including email to school in advance. Any person(s) authorized as alternative pick up or drop off in writing must present a government issued photo ID and a photocopy will be taken and kept on file. Please be aware any person(s) arrive to pick up do not appear to be in a fit state to transport or take care of a child, we will not release your child to the person.

11. Late Pick Up: Any late pick ups past the operating hours is payable $20 per minute upon each occurrence and will be collected by Pre-authorized payment or e-transfer. If children is not picked up within 30 minutes past the closing, the school will contact the Ministry of Children and Family Services.

12. Emergency Release: Parents will be notified for immediate pick up in emergency situations. Authorized pick up contacts will be contacts for safe release of students should parents are unable to pick up.

13. Illness Policy: Children with illness or symptoms that prevents them from taking part in all of the daily activities or require more care than caregivers can provide without affecting the health and safety of other children and staff, must stay home to receive appropriate care and to prevent the infection from spreading to other children and staff. Any development of communicable disease must be notified to the school immediately in order for the school to warn other families about the potential spread of illness or disease. Children who developed communicable disease while attending require physician's approval before returning to the care.

14. Immunization Policy: Academics PreKindergarten require a copy of immunization record for child attending the care and will not admit any children that are not fully protected from the following communicable disease: Diphtheria, Poliomyelitis, Rubella (German Measles), Rubeola (Red Measles), Mumps, Haemophilus Influenza (Type B), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), and Tetanus.
