New Peer Tutor Internal Application for Hire AY 2024-25

  • This form must be submitted between 2/23/24 and 3/18/24
  • At TCNJ's Tutoring Center, The "HSS" side for tutoring includes Schools in Humanities & Social Sciences; Arts & Communication; Education; and Academic Writing. The "MS" side for tutoring includes Schools in Science; Business; Engineering; and Nursing & Health Sciences.

REQUIREMENTS of HIRE:
  • Completion of two full semesters at TCNJ (by 5/2024)
  • Minimum cumulative TCNJ GPA of 3.10
  • B+ or better in TCNJ courses you want to tutor
  • If hired, enroll in IDS 291 and IDS 292 (if tutoring writing), Fall 2024
  • Willingness to work for the entire academic year, 2024-25
  • Willingness to work for min 2 hours/week and max 7 hours/week

HIRING PROCESS:
  • Fill out and submit this internal online application for hire by Wed 3/18/24. If invited, schedule an online interview with Professor Deaver or Dr. King.
  • If offered the position, request 2 TCNJ faculty recommendations due 4/12/24 (we will provide you with the link).
  • If offered a letter of hire from Professor Deaver or Dr. King, reapply for the position in Taleo (hiring platform accessible through TCNJ's website). We will provide you with the link.
  • Follow steps of hire through Taleo and Human Resources until hire is confirmed in Oracle Cloud.
  • Enroll in relevant IDS tutor training courses, Fall '24.
NOTE: In order to begin work in Fall 2024, you must be enrolled in IDS courses and your hiring status must be confirmed in Oracle Cloud.
