KiDS (Kids with Disabilities in the Spotlight) Mini- Camp - October 21, 2023

Finding Nemo, Jr. “KiDS” Mini-Camp is a drop off event for children ages 7-16 who are on the autism spectrum and/or have a cognitive or developmental disability. 

The Mini-Camp Costs $25 and includes fun activities with a theatre focus along with the following:
One (1) ticket for your child to be admitted to the 11:00 a.m. Sensory Friendly Performance of Disney’s Finding Nemo, Jr. on 10/21
Backstage tour and a Finding Nemo character meet and greet
The Mini-Camp does NOT include snacks or tickets for parents and siblings to watch the performance. Parents have the option of purchasing additional tickets for themselves and other family members if they would also like to attend the performance (not required). However, we cannot guarantee parents will be able to sit next to their child (we will do our best to accommodate).  Tickets may be purchased by going to www.matthewsplayhouse.com/finding-nemo-jr.

Cost: $25 per child (Snacks not included)
Space is limited to 15 students and participants must pre-register and pay before the event.

About the Sensory Friendly Performance of Disney's Finding Nemo, Jr. 
KiDS Camp participants and volunteers will be seated together as a group for the 11 a.m. Sensory Friendly performance of Disney's Finding Nemo, Jr.
This performance will be modified to have lower sound and light levels and eliminate startling or loud sounds. 
The theatre will remain dimly lit during the performance, and audience members will be allowed to stand, roam around, and come and go as needed. 
Children are also welcome to bring certain items that provide them with comfort, i.e. cushions, stuffed animals, headphones, and other support items. 
Designated quiet and calm spaces will be available to children as needed.
