PANBIORA Prototype Design Feedback
Dolmen Design & Innovation consultancy are part of a PANBIORA (Personalized And/or Generalized Integrated Biomaterial Risk Assessment) project for the European Union under the Horizon 20-20 intuitive.

The objective of the questionnaire is to obtain your feedback around the rendered images shown during the WBC showroom for PANBIORA. As part of the design development process, we wish to gain your user feedback on the overall aesthetic, functionality and further refine our solution to create a  better device to test biomaterials used in medical devices or implants providing a generalized or personalized biomaterial risk assessment before use.

As shown we have developed an initial prototype as shown to give an overall impression of the future PANBIORA system. This system is a module-based system that uses fluidic and microscope technology to test a biomaterial in a liquid state to give a risk assessment for biomaterial before it is used in a medical device or implant. We currently have 3 modules in place, user interface module, Module A “Cytotoxicity” & Module B “Cytokine”. Each module is accessed by a pull-out drawer to gain access to the unit and load/unload consumables into the unit for testing.

User interface module will have a touch screen display to show the status of the system and initiate tests protocols within the device. Additional modules of Genotoxicity and Organ on a chip test module will be added to the system over the future of the project.

The questionnaire will take about 15 minutes to complete.

There are no right or wrong answers and honest and open feedback is beneficial for us.
