Volunteer with FCI
Florida Community Innovation (FCI) conducts groundbreaking work connecting Florida’s citizens with trusted information and resources to navigate challenging times. We empower young innovators to build scalable social services technology for their communities. We are a network of young professional volunteers and envision a Florida where everyone has equal access to trusted information, critical services, and rewarding careers.

As a volunteer, you will be able to use your own expertise to contribute to FCI’s numerous projects (as seen here). For example, if you are a UX/UI professional, you can volunteer with our digital projects such as the Florida Resource Map or other apps being developed by our team. If you are a communications professional, you will volunteer your time to help provide feedback on our students' written work and offer guidance on writing for our audiences.

The work produced by FCI is driven significantly by our undergraduate interns, who you will most likely be working with. Our cohort is cross-disciplinary and made up of different skill levels and knowledge.

In terms of time commitment, it would be co-determined between you and the FCI team. We would appreciate it if you could be present during our weekly intern stand-up, where we share updates on our projects and you can use it as a chance to connect with the team, however that is not mandatory.
