WHO WE ARE: The Friendlier City Project is a small established organization full of LGBTQIA+ citizens and allies who want to ensure that Wheeling’s queer community has a space to connect, share resources, and advocate for issues that impact their lives. So far, we have worked with Wheeling City Council and Orrick to establish Pride in Wheeling Day; started a city-wide sticker initiative where local organizations and businesses added a sticker on their window/door showing support; and have hosted many LGBTQ+ events.
WHAT ARE WE DOING: On June 10th, 2023 from roughly 3pm to 9pm (subject to change) we will be having our first Pride Month festival at Market Street Plaza in Wheeling! Our mission is to show that Wheeling can throw a safe, thriving, and family-friendly event supporting the LGBTQ+ community! We're currently looking for vendors to participate in our Marketplace and Food Vendor lineup.
VENDOR FEE is $50.
Thank you for your consideration! We are looking forward to throwing a great Pride Month celebration.
