UMD Physics February 2023 Outreach
These shows are free to the public.

Have you ever seen a fire tornado or liquid that boils at room temperature? You'll see both at our Physics is Phun show on the physics of thermodynamics for high school audiences. Our program will take place February 3rd and 4th, 2023 from 7PM to 8:30PM in the Lecture Hall 1410 and 1412, John S. Toll Physics Building, at the University of Maryland.

Did you know you can change the freezing point of water or that you can tell if a material holds heat just by touching it? Come find out how through our Discovery Days on Saturday, February 25th, 2022 from 10AM to 12PM in the John S. Toll Physics Building at the University of Maryland. This event is geared toward upper elementary school students and their families.

The University of Maryland Department of Physics’ Physics is Phun and Discovery Days are outstanding long-running physics demonstration series geared toward high school audiences and upper elementary students respectively. With a focus on education and entertainment, all are welcome!
