WinterFest at Rouge Park - Saturday, February 19, 2022, 12-4pm  
This event will take place at in Rouge Park behind both at and in the Lahser Marsh area behind the Buffalo Soldiers Heritage Association Stables (21860 Joy Road, Detroit, MI 48228). There will be parking available along Service Yard Drive.

Join us for Winter Fest at Rouge Park! This is a free event that encourages families and individuals to explore Rouge Park in Winter! Hosted in partnership with We're Fixin' to Fish, Friends of Rouge Park, Black to the Land, Buffalo Soldiers Heritage Association, Detroit Outdoors, and the DNR.

We have partnered with @werefixintofish, @michigandnr, and @metro_detroit_walleye_stalkers to offer an ice fishing demonstration and giveaways! (UPDATED DUE TO WEATHER/ICE CONDITIONS). 🎣

Other activities and features will include:
-Bonfires and DJ music provided by @blacktothelandcoalition 🔥🎵
-Snowshoeing and sledding offered by @outdoorsdetroit ❄️🛷
-Cross country skiing🎿
-Horse petting at the Buffalo Soldiers Heritage Association’s Stables🐴
-Educational materials on local wildlife provided by @usfws 🦊🦝
-Food trucks, @fruitfulfudge and @the_spicerack_ , coordinated by @vendorqonnect 🌮☕️
-Woodsy the Owl and Smokey the Bear in attendance @u.s.forestservice @woodsy.owl🦉
