February 23, 2023 - Black History and African Heritage Month Reception, Ward Ward 17 Forum and PIAC Election RSVP Forum
You are invited to to a Black History and African Heritage Month Celebration and Ward 17 Forum/PIAC Elections

Date: Thursday, February 23rd, 2023

Where: The Centre of Excellence for Black Student Achievement (inside Winston Churchill CI)

Address: 2239 Lawrence Ave E. Scarborough, ON

When: 5:30– 8:00pm

Join us for a student panel, interactive performance, and tour of the Centre to learn more about the programming being offered.  

Following the reception, hear from Trustee Neethan Shan and our Ward 17 Superintendents about the latest happening in our Scarborough Centre schools. Eligible parents/caregivers will also be asked to vote for their Parental Involvement Advisory Committee representative in our PIAC Elections.

To be eligible to vote you need to be a parent/guardian of a child in the Toronto District School Board, and either;

1. Parent resides in Ward 17 (Scarborough Centre) and/or
2. Student resides in Ward 17; and/or
3. Students attends a school in Ward 17
