2024 Marin Water Volunteer Interest & Event Sign-up Form
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the watershed! Though many of our events do not require a sign-up, it's always appreciated to get a head count so we can bring out the appropriate number of supplies. Events requiring an RSVP are denoted with an asterisk (e.g. "Habitat Restoration*").

Visit marinwater.org/volunteer to find the most up-to-date listings of what we're hosting and when. Our Instagram is @volunteer.mttam, and we love receiving any photos you might have for us to feature!

If you have any other questions/comments/concerns— or would like to work together to create your own volunteer event at the watershed— email us at volunteerprogram@marinwater.org

Habitat Restoration - May 18 Broom Pull

Saturday, May 18th 9:00am - 12:00pm
Phoenix Lake

Join us on the watershed for a late-season broom pull at Phoenix Lake. The wildflowers will be outrageous! We will be pulling French and Scotch broom rain or shine, so please come prepared with the following:

· Layers, long pants, and athletic shoes (preferably with ankle support, as our site is off-trail and sloped);
· A refillable water bottle;
· A positive attitude! We will cover any other necessary supplies like weed pullers, gloves, and snacks/water.

Volunteers will be allowed to drive through the gate at Natalie Coffin Greene Park, drive up and park next to Phoenix Lake dam. We will be opening this gate at 8:40. Gate will remain locked until noon. Please let us know in advance if you will not be staying for the duration of the broom pull and need directions to alternate parking. See map: https://goo.gl/maps/yFxN7rojidQHCSuN9

RSVP not required; family-friendly with parental supervision for ages 8+. Volunteers 16 years or older are welcome to join us with signed permission slips.
Trail Crew - YEAR ROUND
Join our Volunteer Trail Crew for a day of engaging and rewarding stewardship on the watershed! Trail Crew projects vary throughout the year, but always involve some hard work alongside learning and social opportunities.
Litter Abatement - YEAR ROUND

This is a great self-driven year-long opportunity on the watershed! All you need to do to get started is a 15 minutes Litter Abatement Orientation. If you would like to join us individually or in a small group for a training session, please write in your interest in the "Other" category here or email us and we'll try to figure out a good time! We are typically at the Sky Oaks Ranger Station Tuesdays through Fridays until 4pm.
Is there anything else you'd like to know about?
(If you are a group interested in organizing a Litter Clean Up or Habitat Restoration event on the watershed, please provide more details here!)
Volunteer Service Agreement
All new volunteers must sign our Volunteer Service Agreement before volunteering with us: https://waiver.smartwaiver.com/w/61ccaeeff3547/web/
