We are so excited to hear that you are interested in joining the Santa Clara County Search and Rescue Team!
Every year we host a SAR Academy, that runs from Mid-August through the end of October. Our typical timeline is as follows:
- April /May - we will contact you to validate that you are still interested in joining the SAR team
- Late May - we schedule two orientation sessions, so that you can learn more about our program and ensure that it's the right fit for you
- Early June - we schedule formal SAR interviews with all interested applicants and send acceptance letters
- Late June - You submit background check paperwork for processing.
- Mid-August - Academy starts!
