4-H Arts-In Student Director Application - Due March 15
Application Process
Read the following job description and complete the form below. Applications are due March 15. The other registration forms and fees will need to be submitted at a later date. The Director(s) will select the student directors. Student directors will be required to attend Director/Student Director planning meetings before the encampment (dates and times to be determined).

Job Description
In cooperation with the other student directors and the advice/support of the Director(s), you will help “put together the show” by participating in script development, music selection, and a specific area of interest (performing, costuming, technical, or band).
Additionally as a Student Director you will:
- Attend all planning meetings
- Lead small groups and conduct warm-ups
- Ensure ALL participants are welcomed and included
- Help develop and model the ground rules of the encampment
-Take on a leadership role in one specific major of the program (as agreed upon by other S.D.’s and directors)
- Develop and lead team building activities (and fun stuff)
- Prepare participants for each show.
- Other duties as mutually agreed upon.

2024 Important Dates - Please note ALL 2024 dates listed below are required for participants:

Rehearsals at the Washington County Fairgrounds (Hooley Hall and Park Pavilion)
July 7 - Potluck/Auditions/Parent Meeting from 5:00-9:30 pm
July 14 -17 - Arts-In Encampment (Encampment starts at 1:00 pm on July 14, arrive at 12:30 pm to set up)
July 17 - Preview Performance for family and friends at 6:00 pm 
July 18 - Boutwells Landing Retirement Community service project performance at 11:00 am
July 30 - Dress rehearsal from 6:30-9:30 pm

Performances (Washington County Fair)
July 31 - 7:00 pm
August 1 - 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm
August 2 - 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm
August 3 - 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm
August 4 - 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm

Rehearsal/Picnic before State Fair - Tentatively Aug. 17 or 18 - 5:30-8:30pm 
State Fair performance - Time TBD

*As a student director, it is required you set a good example by being on time to all performances and rehearsals.
