East Coast Hoopers 2020 Interest Form
East Coast Hoopers (based out of Ashburn/Leesburg) are run by Riverside HS Coach, Mike Koscinski and Jermaine Walker, JV Coach at Rock Ridge High School. Our teams and clinics will emphasize skill development and a commitment to team play. Spacing, moving without the ball and playing off of teammates will be emphasized on all teams.  We will take a program based approach by teaching a progressive system of play that builds upon previously learned team skills.

The Hoopers will be offering a start-up grade 2 team plus teams at grades 4, 7, 9 and 10.

For elementary levels, we plan on fielding teams in grades 2 & 4.  Grade 2 will practice and scrimmage (internally and with local teams) with a goal of entering a tourney in late spring and working toward being ready for game competition.  The grade 4 team will practice twice weekly for 90 minutes and play 6 plus tournaments.

Grades 7, 9 and 10 will start in early March with weekend practices and enter several competitive Zero Gravity tournaments mostly within 75 minutes radius and a few beyond 3 hours.  

Team invitations will be sent once all try-outs are complete.  Cost information and tourney details will be released in the team invitation.  Practices start the week of March 15 (while will we be off for spring break) and will end June 10.  

The Information below helps us plan for try-outs.  We will collect $10 per player in grade 4, 7, 9, and 10 as our try-out will be a group workout with a private trainer while coaches evaluate players.
