Guidelines stillness online meetings
'A Community in Being'- Welcome to stillness online with Paul Hurcomb.

Would you like to be part of a supportive online spiritual community where we meet together regularly to meditate, inquire, share, explore and rest together in presence?

Next open meeting Monday 27th April at 18.30 am BST

Public open online meetings are held weekly and replicate live meetings. They begin with a period of shared silence or a guided meditation. Paul may then speak about something before giving the opportunity for anybody in the group to share, explore, or simply rest together in stillness. The meeting ends with a shorter period of silence.

Online meetings are a shared exploration of truth and your participation and willingness to bring forth your heartfelt questions, insights and reports are an essential part of it.

We use Zoom for the meetings. To join click the following link and follow the instructions: https://zoom.us/j/8898148142

The meetings are supported by your conscious donation through Paypal  account https://paypal.me/hurcs?locale.x=en_GB

"The ongoing invitation is to face and embrace our humanity from and as the light of awareness."

GENERAL GUIDELINES

To make it a respectful experience for everyone we have made some guidelines for the meetings, and kindly ask you to read through these before you join the meeting.

- Be on time: At least 10 minutes before the meeting starts. It will not be possible to join the meeting after it's started. (For open meetings there is no need to sign up just show up)

- Treat the meeting as a Satsang. This means being present and focused, respectful and open to the experience. The meeting is not for entertainment, but an opportunity to look deep within ourselves. Sensitive emotional, as well as deep meditative processes, may come up and be discussed. By being present, focused, open and respectful you support these processes for others as well as yourself.

- Try to avoid moving around too much during the meeting. If you do need to move around, please turn off your camera while moving so as not to disturb the other participants.

- You will be muted on entry to the meeting. Please keep your microphone muted unless you are speaking to Paul. If you wish to speak to Paul, use the raise hand function in Zoom, and you will be unmuted by the host when it is your turn to speak.

- Please do not use the chat function in Zoom during the meeting

- There will be a short introduction at the beginning of the meeting where we will briefly go through these things, but not in-depth technical support, so please read through the next section and make sure you are up to speed with the technical stuff.

ABOUT PAUL

Paul spent 12 years as a practicing Buddhist until 2002 when in the midst of deep suffering he had a profound awakening from mind identity into presence. This experience led him to leave his job as a school teacher and spending long periods of time in South India. This was where he met his teacher Sri Mooji who introduced him to the self-inquiry teachings popularised by the sage Ramana Maharshi. It was during this time he realised his true nature. Since 2010 Paul has been traveling and holding meetings and retreats with small groups of seekers mostly in Spain, the Uk, Sweden, and Norway. Paul’s approach is natural, compassionate and warm. Always combining the deep embodiment of presence with a direct, clear and authentic approach to spirituality.

From previous participants:

‘Your ordinariness is exactly what attracted me to you. I was looking at you during a meeting and all my ideas about gurus, masters..were dropping off. And me thinking...He is just a normal guy with the biggest heart I have ever seen. Thanks, Paul you have been the first one I could listen to because of your ordinariness xx.’ - Gloria

‘Thank you so much Paul Hurcomb love you! Five years with you and your wiseness have changed my life to the much better. Everyday-life flows after Orgiva, don't identify with anything else but me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!’  - Miriam

'This was my first meeting with Paul and I am very glad that you gave me this opportunity to tell you about my experience. It was indeed unique, and I can honestly say that I have never met someone like Paul before. I was deeply touched by the simplicity, warmth, authenticity, and beauty that permeated the whole retreat. Your performance during the retreat seemed like magic, and perhaps that is what it is all about, the simple magic of love.' - Erland

‘The meditations, your teaching, and the cumulative build up over the days have yet again had a profound effect…And it’s not just the personal experience, but seeing how you work with each individual person – and with all of us as a group – that is so powerful. Your gentle, kind mix of knowledge, humor, and love is really a devastating combination – breaks down all resistance and allows one to see and feel where it wasn’t possible before.’ – Anne

but to replace the person with pure Presence.
This shift from person to Presence
takes place in front of that which can never ever change;
the formless ever-present witnessing consciousness'.
