Are you an actor, comedian, singer, musician or writer? Creative Culture South West C.I.C are soon to be holding workshop auditions for a brand new comedy performance company. Part Who's Line, part Second City, part Saturday Night Live, part Canal Cafe, wholly different and completely entertaining.
Audition:
Audition dates are as follows:
Saturday 21st January | 16:00 - 19:00
Sunday 22nd January | 17:30 - 20:30
Auditions will be in Exeter, the venue has a car park and is close to both a train station and bus routes. The location will be provided on invitation. You will only be asked to attend one date.
“Should I prepare anything?” - Nope! Please only bring your enthusiasm, and sense of childlike wonder.
“What if I don't have any experience?” - That’s completely okay, we’re looking for kind, creative people who are passionate about comedy.
“What happens in auditions?” - We’ll play a few improv games, have you read and perform of our old sketches, and we’ll get to know you!
Show dates: Show dates will be arranged on a quarterly basis minimum and done so inline with availability. Shows will initially take place in Exeter with the aim of booking other locations as per discussion.
Rehearsals: One fixed day a week initially (depending on group availability), the potential for both practical and online rehearsals is possible. These will start in late February/early March.
Role requirements:
- Enthusiasm and commitment to putting on a great show
- To be able to commit to perform at all shows booked
- The ability to perform multiple characters across a short space of time. alternating between whacky/absurdist characters and more grounded characters for darker sketches
- A willingness to be involved in physical/slapstick led sketches
