Before this course is placed into the schedule for student enrollment, it must be fully developed, be reviewed by the Online Course Review Committee, and meet the Executive Director of DLIT approval.)

Compensation and intellectual property rights:
It is understood when the College compensates a faculty member for the creation of a new online or hybrid course, or for the creation of a complete course from an existing online or hybrid course, the College shall retain ownership of the course materials that were developed up to the point the online or hybrid course is deemed to be completed and acceptable to the Provost or designee following recommendation of the Online Course Review Committee.

Approval Process
Upon submission, the Executive Director of Distance Learning will review the request and forward to the appropriate dean's office for determination. Payment for online course development will only occur if the administration requested development of the course, and/or concurs that this is a course the college would like to have developed and own. Proposed course development not requested by the college may be denied if deemed inappropriate for online or hybrid delivery by the dean's office.
