Race Teams

This is an option for those who already row and want to train with a team to prepare for racing. There will be more opportunity for local Azorean Whaleboat racing right here in Clark's Cove. We are looking for people who have experience with rowing and would like to be part of a competitive team. This is not beginner rowing. If you have never rowed before, please sign up for the regular open rows.

You must be a current member of AMHS with your boat fees paid.

Boat Steerers

We are always looking for more boat steerers! We will train you and help you certify. Without enough boat steerers, the schedule is at the mercy of just a few people and there will be fewer options for rows. If you would like to be on a team, we strongly encourage you to become a certified boat steerer as well, however it's not mandatory.
