One of the best things about DI is that it involves parents! When your child is in high school, sometimes these opportunities are limited, but DI teams definitely benefit from parent involvement! Please indicate how interested YOU as a parent are in being a Team Manager (alone or with a helper) with a DI team this year. *
Please select "Yes, I agree" below to indicate that you and your child have read the DI Team Member and Team Parent obligations and understand that you are committing to:

(1) your child's presence at weekly (or so) team meetings between September and March and at the March 4 State DI Tournament (location TBD, either Madison or Birmingham area);

(2) fundraise or pay for your child's way to Global Finals should their team qualify to compete ($1000-$1300, depending on the number of students on the team; the more team members, the lower the cost);

(3) support your child's Team Manager when it comes to attendance at meetings, behavior, respect of property and people, and helping to secure resources (recycled is best!) for the team to complete its solution as well as a volunteer appraiser (judge) to represent the team at the State Tournament on March 4 (including attending a 2-hour virtual training the evening of Monday, February 27);

(4) paying the $30 DI Activity fee no later than September 15, 2023 (online or check payable to BJHS delivered to the BJHS front desk in an envelope labeled "Robin Dauma, DI".
*
Sometimes Team Manager volunteers are not able to HOST in-person DI meetings, so please indicate your response below regarding helping in this manner. (Note: a somewhat large open area like a garage, basement, covered patio, etc. is usually needed, especially once teams get past the "brainstorming" stage of the problem-solving process). *
