The Abundant Sisterhood - 2022 Leadership Committee Application

Thank you for your interest in joining our Leadership Committee.

We are looking for women who feel energetically available to help lead this mission of Sisterhood so that we can continue to spread our roots out and encompass more women from more areas. Women who feel called to use their energy to help call in a healing of the collective consciousness for our sisters.

While brainstorming how we could make the daily retreat operations run more smoothly for 2023, we had 3 driving aspirations.
1.) A deep desire to get practices in place that allow the retreat to run smoothly as it continues to grow organically. As we grow as a team in experience, so can our sisterhood numbers.
2.) A non-negotiable desire to make sure that no one on the leadership committee had to work all weekend. We desire to create a system that allows there to be plenty of down time for our leadership team to build lasting relationships with sisters and to attend any workshops they wanted to. It's important to us that our leadership sisters get to enjoy the retreat.
3.) Achieving our 5 year goal of creating paid positions within The Abundant Sisterhood for our sisters.

After years of trying different ways to incorporate volunteer help and hours of brainstorming, we are excited to roll out our new system. In 2022, our Leadership Committee will be changing into a tiered support system to better cover the full operations of the retreat.  We will have multiple tiers of support based on our sister's ability and availability to assist. ​This year we will also be offering financial compensation for some positions within the leadership committee. We feel like a pack of wild wolf women, and see our retreat operations running as such. As with a pack of wolves, very single position is equally important to surviving and thriving as a pack.

The Levels of Leadership will be as follows:

Alpha: In 2022, there will be 2 openings for this level of leadership. Sisters who are selected for this position will hold the most responsibility and time investment. To apply for this position, you must have assisted in some form of volunteering or leadership committee duties at a previous Abundant Sisterhood retreat. Prior to the retreat, they will be assisting in retreat prep and planning. During the retreat, they will take responsibility for overseeing the full retreat operations for (3) 8 hour shifts during the retreat.  During 1 of those shifts, they will be the main contact on duty overseeing full retreat operations. The other 2 shifts they will work as a team along with Shalako and/or Megan. They are direct extensions of Shalako & Megan, and can be trusted for direction as needed. They will also be required to assist with set up and tear down.  In addition to receiving an Autumn Equinox pass, this position will be compensated financially.

Beta: In 2022, there will be 6 openings for this level of leadership. Sisters who are selected for this position will be responsible for carrying out tasks asked of them by the Alphas and directing the Delta sisters to complete tasks. To apply for this position within the leadership committee, it is recommended to have participated in some form of volunteering or leadership committee duties at a previous Abundant Sisterhood retreat. Sisters who are selected for this position will take responsibility for overseeing volunteers for meal set up OR workshop set up during (4) 6 hour shifts during the retreat. They will also be needed to assist with either set up or tear down. In addition to receiving an Autumn Equinox Pass, this position will be compensated financially.

Delta: In 2022, there will be 8-12 openings for this level of leadership. Sisters who are selected for this position will take responsibility for assisting the Alphas & Betas with daily retreat needs, as well as retreat set up and tear down. This position is a great way for sisters to become involved with the operations and get integrated into our processes without the same energetic investment as the other positions. The time investment at the retreat will be less than 8 hours during the retreat unless you choose to become more involved.

As a member of the Leadership Committee, you will receive:
(1) Pass to The 2022 Autumn Equinox Retreat valued at $555.
(1) Limited Edition 2022 special gift curated by Shalako & Megan especially for our Leadership Committee valued between $55 - $111
Depending on the level of leadership you are selected for, possibly financial compensation.
