Rochester School District takes great care when placing students in classrooms. Our goal is to place each child in the best learning environment for him/her, while maintaining a well-balanced group. Many variables are considered including, but not limited to, personality, academic ability, special needs, Multilingual Learners, and behavioral support. Each student’s characteristics, abilities and needs are identified by their current teacher(s), who will play an active role in the placement process. Parent input is also welcomed, yet optional.  

When completing this Parent Input Form, remember that the more specific and educationally relevant the information you provide, the greater priority it will be given.   Questions 1 and 2 are required.  Question 3 & 4 are optional.  ***MAKING A REQUEST IS NOT A GUARANTEE THAT YOUR CHILD WILL BE PLACED IN THE REQUESTED CLASSES. ***  This form is due no later than April 26, 2024.

This is not a rank order list but rather a list of 4 teachers that you feel would fit the needs of your child. If you choose to request a teacher, 4 options must be listed or your teacher request will not be considered.
