Here is a brief description of the course: "Students cultivate their understanding of the interrelationships of the
natural world through inquiry-based lab investigations and field work as
they explore concepts like the four Big Ideas; energy transfer,
interactions between earth systems, interactions between different
species and the environment, and sustainability."
The College Board recommends the following prerequisites: two years of high school laboratory science, including life science and
physical science, along with at least one year of algebra.
(In SCPS, this translates to Biology, Algebra I, and Earth Science/Chemistry/Physics).
If you choose to take this course, you will be required to take the associated AP exam (at no cost to you), and if you earn a score of 3/5 or higher on the exam, you can earn college credit for the course.
