Manitoba is no longer holding regular COVID-19 news conferences or providing daily COVID-19 data. Manitoba is in a "time of transition' and health orders have ended, with health recommendations in their place.
Anecdotally, the number of COVID-19 cases in Manitoba remains extremely high. Children under 5 remain unvaccinated and vaccination rates of other youth remain lower than adults. We have put together this survey to continue our assessment of the state and influences of COVID-19 on Manitoba ELCC Facilities. We will use this information to advocate for additional resources for Manitoba childcare facilities with the goal of creating the safest environments possible for staff and children.
Who is tracking cases?
We are a team of professors from the University of Manitoba. Information about us, the previous work we have done in this space, and updated analyses can be found here:
https://www.microstatslab.ca/elcc-survey.htmlThis survey will be open from Monday, March 28-April 1, 2022.
To try and avoid duplicate entries please assign one person from a facility to fill it out. Unlike previous surveys, we ask that if you are affiliated with multiple sites, that you fill it out independently for each site.
Results will be posted on our website and on social media on Monday, April 4th.
