OLC Ideate: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Digital Learning Environments Registration Form

OLC Ideate is a free, collaborative, and dialogue-based virtual experience. The goal is to both surface and model effective online engagement to educators, designers, practitioners and leaders of all levels and arenas. Moving past the notion of a passive, “sit-and-get” online experience, each session focuses on inspiring participants to leverage the power of online and digital learning with the goal of extending impact and access to education.

In partnership with Every Learner Everywhere (https://www.everylearnereverywhere.org/), we convened live around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion December 7-11, 2020 for action-oriented and community-driven conversations on how to get started, where to go next, and how to lead in this work within our educational contexts. Best of all? Participants left with new ideas, models and examples centered in best practices, and a new community to build with.

We welcome you into this work now asynchronously and look forward to "seeing" you and collaborating with you in the virtual space!

Where would you position yourself with respect to your understanding of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as an educator?

We recognize that the options below do not include every potential for where you might position yourself. That said, give us a general sense of where you are by choosing the one that seems to fit you best.

I am really new to the discussion and the work and am here to learn the basics

I've been to some professional development and have been following along with the big conversations, but still very much learning

I feel generally good about my practices as an educator and colleague but am not to the point where I would lead professional development

I am at the level where I can comfortably talk about these topics, know I educate in inclusive and equitable ways, and lead professional development related to them

I am considered by others as a leader in this area. That said, there is always something to learn!
