Spring 2020 String Workshop
The Central Oregon Youth Orchestra is hosting a weekend of exciting string workshops and clinics with the Dove String Quartet, March 6-8, 2020. The Dove String Quartet has been a cornerstone of classical string chamber music in Central Oregon since 1982.

This workshop weekend is free to attend. Register for all or part of these great opportunities!

Day 1: Quartet in Practice - OPEN Rehearsal to observe
When: Friday, March 6, 2020

Guest artists will kick of the workshop weekend with an opportunity for students to listen, learn, and observe the string quartet dress rehearsal as they prepare for their upcoming Music In Public Places performance. Meet and Greet the musicians following the rehearsal.

Day 2: Quartet in Performance - OPEN Performance to attend
When: Saturday, March 7, 2020, 2:00pm
Where: Sisters Library
The string quartet will be performing a Music In Public Places concert at the Sisters Library at 2:00pm. Watch how the musicians interact with each other in a performance environment and how they engage the audience. This event is free and tickets are not required.

Day 3: Quartet in Clinic - Violin, Viola, and Cello
When: Sunday, March 8, 2020, 12:30pm-2:30pm
Where: Pilot Butte Middle School
Students have the opportunity to play and coach with one or more of the guest artist teachers. Please bring your COYO music and anything you are currently preparing e.g. solo or lesson materials. All area string students are welcomed to participate, observe, listen and learn. You will be inspired for sure!
