In light of the tough economic times facing our area and the financial ramifications caused by COVID-19, we are attempting to help Avondale School families by making sure that all of our children have enough food. Blessings in a Backpack is a program designed to provide students in the free and reduced lunch program with enough food for three meals a day during the weekends.

If you agree to take part in this program and until in-person instruction occurs, you will be responsible for picking up the purchased food for the weekend from a designated distribution location within the school district. (Locations and pick up times will coincide with Chartwells Food Services distribution.)

Once in-person instruction resumes and for the remainder of the school year, your child will receive a bag filled with purchased food for the weekend. Bags will be dispensed in a discrete and caring manner. For you there is NO COST to participate in this program.
