Some questions for you about dating apps
Hi! I'm Sarah Thankam Mathews, writer, novelist, curious person. I'm working on a feature about online dating. Specifically, ways in which many people feel failed by online dating, and seem to be divesting from it—quitting the apps, trying to quit the apps, meeting people in person, or renegotiating desire around traditional romantic partnership. I'm also interested in hearing from you if you like online dating and have a positive experience with it. I am absolutely interested in hearing from you if you have never been on a dating app/plan never to be. Below are a few preliminary questions, and then depending on your responses, I may ask to speak a little bit more in depth.

What's your name?
What's your email / phone number (whichever you'd prefer to be contacted using)?
Where do you live?
Can you tell me, in a couple sentences, a little bit about you? What do you do for work? I'm also interested in any/all of these: your age, gender, sexuality, race/ethnicity, and partnership status.
Can you tell me about your relationship, past and present, to online dating apps? Go as long or short as you like.
OPTIONAL: Do you feel like there has been a change in how you or people you know use dating apps in the last few years (say, since immediately pre-COVID?)
Would you be open to me contacting you to talk further?
