Road Project Application 2022
This application is a request for funding to make improvements to a private road within the boundaries of Santa Cruz County. If the road provides access to multiple properties, please choose a designated contact person or official road association representative to complete the application. After submitting your application, you will receive a call from the Resource Conservation District staff to go over your application and schedule a site visit to discuss project options. Most project require in-kind or cash contributions toward the projects.
Please note that funding for rural road improvement projects through this program come from grants administered by the State Water Resources Control Board. The purpose of these grant funds is to improve water quality in Santa Cruz County Watersheds. While the projects implemented will better the quality of your road, the ultimate goal is to reduce sediments in local waterways due to excessive erosion. All project applications will be ranked by a Technical Advisory Committee and chosen first and foremost on the merits of their water quality benefits and value as demonstration projects.
