Note that options throughout are provided in alphabetical order according to category. This is a regular day of school and is part of our career education component; attendance is required as usual and will be recorded at every session.

Greetings, parents, guardians and students,
We are excited to announce our “BCA Explore Your Career Event 2020” coming up next week on Wednesday, February 5, 2020. Our team has worked hard to sculpt this day to reflect our core values and Scriptural mission to "'develop all aspects of our students’ hearts, souls, minds and strength with excellence, according to God’s highest purpose.'" We have shaped an experience that we purpose to be relevant and engaging for all of our students across all of our grades. We will open at 8:25am for attendance with a main session at 8:30am with a keynote video presentation; this will be followed by three 50-minute breakout sessions with multiple options—all of which will be interspersed by “booth time”. Lunch will run from 11:30am - 12:30pm. At 2:00pm, we will gather together again as a large group for the second plenary session; students will be seated with teachers for a guided discussion in relation to issues raised by the video presentation. In order to provide meaningful and relevant breakout session options for as wide a variety of our students as possible, we have invited the participation of many local business owners, professionals and people in ministry; we deeply appreciate the willingness of our volunteers to bless and assist our students towards developing their awareness of and passion for future opportunities in their lives. We are absolutely delighted with the response from our partners in the variety of fields represented!

ATTENDANCE:
This is a regular day of school and is part of our career education component; attendance is required as usual and will be recorded at every session. Students will gather at 8:25am for attendance in Edwards Chapel in advance of the 8:30am opening session; attendance will be taken by students' current CE teachers. For each of the three breakout sessions, attendance will be taken by the supervising teachers. Lunch will run from 11:30am to 12:30pm. We will assemble again as a large group at 2:00pm in Edwards for the second main session; attendance will be taken by each group's discussion leader (groups will be posted). The day will conclude at approximately 3:30pm.
