ICSA has limited funds to help former cultic group members attend conferences, webinars, and workshops.
ICSA grants scholarships through the Joan Capellini Fund. Scholarships are granted for online attendance to ICSA's virtual events, such as webinars and virtual conferences, including the online presentation of our annual international conferences. Scholarships cover the cost of event registration only, not travel expenses (accommodations, meals, commuting), nor do scholarships cover general financial support, education or tuition, or ICSA memberships.

Due to fact that cultic groups often deprive their members of personal resources, opportunities for education and training, and gainful employment, many former members are truly without financial resources of any kind. We do not request copies of tax returns or other proof of financial need. We rely on applicants to be truthful and to recognize that any assistance awarded to someone who does not need it may limit assistance to others who do.
