Parking on campus is considered a privilege. Therefore, certain rules and regulations are expected of our students. At Lakes International Language Academy, it is the student’s responsibility to follow the guidelines and regulations as outlined.

PARKING LOT/DRIVING REGULATIONS
- Secure a valid pass from the office prior to leaving during the school day.
- Every vehicle must have a permit displayed.
- Permits must be present and displayed on the front rearview mirror.
- Students are to park in designated areas.
- Drive safely and obey the 10 mph speed limit.
- Comply with all directions given by Parking Staff.
- Stay out of the parking lot during school hours unless an office pass is issued.
- Students are not allowed to go to vehicle to drop off or retrieve items during school hours.
- Do not display inappropriate symbols or messages in or outside the vehicle.
- Permits may not be altered in any way.
- No permits will be issued if the student/family has outstanding fines.
- Students are not allowed to borrow, sell or share their parking permit
(unless registered as carpooling/sharing).

LOSS OF PERMIT AND PARKING PRIVILEGES
- Parking permits can be revoked or temporarily suspended for discipline and attendance issues. Examples
include tardiness and truancy.
- Students parked improperly, illegally or without a permit may have their vehicles locked with a wheel lock
or towed at the owner’s expense.
- If a permit is lost, the replacement fee is $25 for a new permit. A temporary day pass will be issued if the
permit holder needs to drive a different family vehicle due to needed repairs.

PARKING VIOLATIONS AND FINES
1. Parking in an Unauthorized area - $10.00
2 .Reckless driving (Speeding, Spinning tires, etc.) - $20.00
3. Parking Permit not displayed - $10.00
4. Excessive Parking Violations – Revocation of Parking (No Refund Will Be Issued).
5. Any Major Discipline Referral – Revocation of Parking for the remainder of the school year
(No Refund Will Be Issued).
6. Unauthorized Vehicle Parked on Campus – Towing at owner’s expense.

DISCLAIMER
Lakes International Language Academy is not responsible for vandalism or theft to any vehicles in the school parking lot. Vehicles should be locked when parked in the school lot. Valuables should not be left in cars. Any vehicle on campus is subject to search by school personnel if a school official determines there is reasonable suspicion that a school regulation, city law or state law has been violated. This includes but is not limited to illegal drugs, alcohol, stolen property, weapons, or other contraband that might be present in the vehicle.
