Phoebus High School Alumni Association Scholarship Instructions
About the Scholarship
The Phoebus High School Alumni Association (PHSAA) is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving graduate of the Class of 2020. The PHSAA, founded on the principles of leadership, scholarship, fellowship and school spirit, will award this scholarship to a PHS graduate that clearly demonstrates “Phantom Pride” by composing a minimum 300 word, original essay that explains how their education and experiences at Phoebus High School will be used to enrich their community and their plans after graduation.
Eligible Participants
•
Applicants must be current senior in the Phoebus High School graduating Class of 2020
•
Applicants must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5
•
Applicant must be in good academic and administrative standing (no history of suspension or expulsion)
•
Applicant must have their application signed by their parent or legal guardian
Application Process
Only complete application packets will be considered; packets must include:
•
Scholarship application
•
Typed, original essay
•
Two letters of reference
•
Copy of school transcript (unofficial transcript is acceptable)
•
Enrollment Verification Letter from the Registrar’s Office must be received before November 30, 2020 for monies to be awarded.
Submission Deadline
Completed packets should be submitted by May 1, 2020. Packets may be dropped off at the Phoebus High School Guidance Department or scanned and emailed to
phsphantom4life@yahoo.com. Late submissions will not be considered.
