The Community Arts Council of Richmond is currently seeking Islamic artists to host hands-on arts activities at
the Richmond Public Library Brighouse Branch on November 26,
2023.
About the Islamic Art Experience:
A series of events focused on sharing the beauty of Islamic art from around the globe, an exciting, educational opportunity for people of all ages. In addition to the entertainment and educational value, these events encourage vibrant cross-cultural exchange among all faiths and cultures. We aim to bring new art, artists, and performers from the local Muslim community in BC and Canada.
CACR, in partnership with Islamic Art of British Columbia and Richmond Public Library, is proud to present the Islamic Art Experience. The event will bring together Islamic art, both visual and performing, and include activities such as visual art, films, lectures, calligraphy, tapestry, and henna demonstrations, and hands-on art activities.

Please read the Application Rules and Guidelines carefully before completing this application.
- Submission deadline is Sunday, November 5, 2023.
- All hands-on art activities should be based on or inspired by Islamic literature, art, poetry and architecture.
- Artists will be informed via email if their proposal is accepted.
- Selection of the hands-on art activities will be at the sole discretion of the committee members and their decision will be final.
- Hands-on art activities may be disqualified if it does not meet the criteria.
