The Church should always be a place of safety and refuge. Unfortunately, we know that this has not always been the case even in our own beloved diocese. The time commitment that you are making to participate in this program will, in fact, make our congregations and communities safer and will remind you of the signs to look for and to discern those times that something 'just doesn't seem right' when it comes to the safety of our children and adults.
