"Why Referees Are Terrible At Refereeing" Registration
THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED

Soccer referees are terrible at their jobs. Aren't they? In this educational and entertaining presentation, NRDP Director of Referee Development Brent Wilson will take a look at factors that impact referee performance. Learn about the Laws of the Game, referee mechanics, psychology, and the curious world of human perception. Participants will watch videos, engage in discussions, participate in demonstrations, and more. Come learn why referees get so many calls wrong, what NRDP is doing about it ... and why so many of those "wrong" calls are, in fact, right.

Why Referees Are Terrible At Refereeing will be held at Creighton University's Harper Center on January 28, 2023 from 10:30am until 12:30pm. Registration is appreciated but not required. Early registration will aid us in event planning.

The event runs parallel to the 2023 NRDP Referee Seminar. You are welcome to attend the referee-focused breakout sessions in the afternoon. The details of those sessions will be available on site.

If you have any questions about the event, please contact Brent Wilson at brent.wilson@nrdp.soccer.
